New head of Italy for Savills

William Gould, currently a senior investment director who joined Savills in 2009, will continue to service Savills investment clients, whilst also managing and expanding Savills Italian business from Milan.

William Gould will lead the management team formed of Eros Chiodoni, head of agency and managing director, and Maria Cristina Laria, head of valuation and consultancy.

Borja Sierra, chief executive officer of Savills Europe, said: “Lionello has led our Italian operation successfully over the past seven years, and personally been responsible for some of the most significant transactions in the country’s investment markets. We wish him well for the future and look forward to working with William on a strategic growth plan in Milan.”

William Gould said: “Savills Italy has established itself as a leading multi-disciplinary business that holds a strong position within the Italian property market and I am very much looking forward to augmenting this success further with the help of the existing senior management team.”

Savills Italy has been involved in a number of high profile deals this year including Westfield’s acquisition of a 50% interest in a major development site in Milan, which has planning approval to develop a world-class iconic regional shopping center. In addition, Savills is also the letting agent on a range of prime properties including two prestigious office towers, part of the Milanofiori Nord mixed-use development project in Milan.
