Legal firm Russell-Cooke gets house buying standard award

The London based firm was presented with its CQS accolade by Law Society President John Wotton after becoming the 1,300th firm in England and Wales to secure membership to the scheme.

‘As a Top 100 law firm, our clients expect a first class service when they instruct Russell-Cooke and our accreditation to the CQS will give them added confidence that when they buy or sell a residential property with us, they know we have gained recognition for passing a genuine quality assessment,’ said Donall Murphy, partner at Russell-Cooke.

‘Russell-Cooke is committed to aligning itself with the best measure in the market. By securing CQS we have proved we are reaching the high bar set by the Law Society in the home-buying process,’ he added

Law Society president John Wotton said that CQS is designed to be achieved by firms offering quality, irrespective of size. ‘We welcome Russell-Cooke into the CQS, which is fast becoming a must-have badge for legal practices conducting conveyancing. CQS allows people to easily identify which firms have reached those high standards, giving them confidence in the service they will receive,’ he explained.

‘However, this is far from being a tick-box membership club. Firms who have achieved CQS status have had to jump through hoops to get it and will be regularly monitored and required to renew their membership on an annual basis,’ he added.
