Lomond has acquired the residential lettings and property management division of Nottingham-based FHP Living, marking the latest transaction in the group’s ongoing expansion strategy across the Midlands.
The acquired business will be integrated into John Shepherd, Lomond’s primary brand operating across the region. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Expansion in Nottingham market
The acquisition extends John Shepherd’s footprint in Nottingham and West Bridgford, adding a student lettings operation to the group’s portfolio. The deal forms part of broader consolidation trends across the estate and letting agency sector, with larger groups expanding their regional presence through strategic acquisitions.
FHP Living’s residential sales and development consultancy divisions are not included in the transaction and will continue operating independently from the company’s West Bridgford office under the leadership of Jules Hunt and Jason Cook.
Business background
David Hargreaves, John Proctor and Brian Fisher established FHP Living in 2000 as a residential development advisory firm in Nottingham’s Lace Market. The business subsequently expanded its services to include sales, lettings and property management operations.
Luke Pritchett, a director at FHP Living, will remain with the lettings business following the acquisition. Paul Clarke, chief revenue officer at Lomond, stated the deal targets businesses with local market knowledge and established client relationships, noting the combination would provide additional resources for landlords navigating regulatory changes in the sector.
David Hargreaves, founding director of FHP Living, said the transaction provides access to larger group resources whilst maintaining local market presence built over two decades of operation.
The acquisition continues Lomond’s growth strategy in key regional markets, with Nottingham identified as a priority area for expansion. The move reflects ongoing consolidation within the property agency sector, where established groups are pursuing scale through acquisitions of local operators.
