Lucas Fox International opens in Mallorca

The company said that the Lucas Fox Mallorca office aims to offer a high end portfolio of the most desirable properties on the island and combine this with the company's standard high level of client service and innovative marketing.
The new company is strengthened by the involvement of Rafael Calparsoro as regional director for Mallorca. Calparsoro brings over 20 years of experience of Mallorca real estate and has instructions to sell some of the island's most exclusive properties.
Juan Antonio March, the former Spanish ambassador to Russia, will also participate in the new venture. March owns properties on Mallorca and has been instrumental in raising the island's profile amongst high end Russian clients.
‘When the opportunity to work with Rafael Calparsoro came up we couldn't say no. Rafael has a reputation for working discretely with the top properties and clients on Mallorca and is the perfect choice to head up the new division of our company,’ said Alexander Vaughan, director of Lucas Fox International Properties.
‘Juan Antonio March is committed to helping Lucas Fox Mallorca become the first stop for Russian clients looking to acquire first class properties on the island. His knowledge of the island and contacts amongst the elite of Mallorquin property owners will prove invaluable to the company's success. Both appointments compliment Lucas Fox's strength for attracting international clients to the island,’ he added.
The launch of Lucas Fox Mallorca fulfills Lucas Fox's plan for expansion for 2011. Just like Ibiza, Mallorca attracts high end buyers from the UK and Europe, especially Germany, France, Switzerland and Scandinavia. There is increasing interest in Mallorca from buyers from the USA, Russia and the Middle East.
Mallorca boasts a varied range of property types that appeal to a wide range of buyers. Property types offered by Lucas Fox Mallorca include penthouses and palaces in the capital centre Palma, incredible country estates and state of the art modern villas on the coast.
Buyers, in turn, are attracted to the island for the laid back lifestyle, great facilities including international schools, ease of access from all European airports and a safe, beautiful environment. Mallorca has and continues to present a solid long-term investment opportunity.
‘We have always had an eye on Mallorca which remains one of the first choices for high end international property buyers in the Mediterranean. The last few years have been tough for the Mallorca property market but there are signs of improvement and we are confident that Lucas Fox's approach will be successful on the island. The combination of partners bring a winning combination of experience, properties and international client contacts to the table and we are confident that we will close a number of high value transactions in 2012,’ said Vaughan.
Rafael Calparsoro commented on the new venture; ‘I am confident that Lucas Fox's approach and ethics will make them the agency of choice for buyers and sellers of Mallorca's most exclusive properties. Their proactivity and professionalism will make them unique on the island’.
‘We will continue to explore and implement new communication channels to acquire, maintain and secure buyer and sellers in Mallorca. We are working on our portfolio of properties and reactivating existing buyers and investor interest in Mallorca,’ said Anthony Leaton, marketing director.
