Oxford conference to address AI and marketing in agencies

A conference examining artificial intelligence, marketing and industry trends in the estate and letting agency sector will take place at the Examination Schools, University of Oxford, on 20 November.

The Voice of the Agent Conference, organised by We Are Unchained, follows the publication of 12 research reports during 2026 covering agency fees, marketing, AI, recruitment, regulation, professionalism and consumer behaviour.

The one-day event will feature speakers including Kate Faulkner, Christopher Watkin, Simon Gates, Jo Bourne, Danielle Nash and Clare Yates, with additional speakers to be announced. The programme will be hosted by David Mintz and filmed by PVS Media for wider distribution after the event.

Focus on data-driven insights

Sessions will examine practical applications of artificial intelligence in estate and letting agencies, alongside presentations on advertising effectiveness and brand growth. The conference aims to provide evidence-based insights to agents, suppliers and industry leaders.

The event comes as the property sector continues to adapt to technological changes, with process reforms potentially affecting market dynamics and agencies seeking to improve operational efficiency.

Simon Leadbetter, founder of We Are Unchained and author of The Voice of the Agent, said the research programme was created to replace assumption with data. He noted that delegates will hear from experts in AI, marketing and behavioural science alongside established industry figures.

Early bird tickets are now available for the conference, which represents the annual culmination of the Voice of the Agent research programme. The initiative has focused on providing quantitative analysis of trends affecting the estate and letting agency sector, which has seen significant changes in recent years alongside shifts in mortgage market conditions.

The conference organisers have indicated that filmed sessions will be made available to the wider industry following the event, extending access to the content beyond those attending in person.
