Gilly Hayden, who is joining Mark Tunstall to work in the Super Prime Lettings team, was formerly a partner at W A Ellis for 16 years. She has worked in the lettings business in central London for 23 years with a number of high net worth individuals and clients including Grosvenor Estate, Cadogan Estate and The Knightsbridge Estate.
‘I am thrilled to have Gilly on our team and I look forward to working with her to further strengthen our market presence in the super prime market. 2012 has got off to a very good start and we have already doubled the number of instructions we have on the market, compared to this time last year, in part this is due to landmark developments such as One Hyde Park coming on stream, which have huge appeal to the internationally wealthy,’ said Mark Tunstall, head of Savills Super Prime Lettings.
‘Rents for the most expensive properties in prime central London are still around 5% below their pre Lehman peak, although a shortage of supply has meant that prices are on the increase. At the very top end of the market we saw some record breaking transactions in 2011, with the demand being fuelled by a small but extremely wealthy pool of tenants from newly industrialised, and especially ex Soviet bloc, countries who regard London as a safe, attractive and desirable place in which to live,’ he added.
