Rare fishing on Scotland’s river Tay offered for sale

The Newtyle Fishings originally formed part of the extensive Murthly and Atholl Estates and they are being offered for sale for the first time in 40 years. It extends to one and a quarter miles of predominantly double bank fishing.

The beat produces an annual average catch of some 135 fish over its 14 named pools. There is a charming wood lined fishing hut and lovely views in this beautiful area of highland Perthshire.

‘It is only very rarely that a beat of salmon fishing is offered for sale on the river Tay and Newtyle is an absolute gem. It is extremely private, beautifully maintained and is likely to attract significant interest,’ said William Jackson, the agent handling the sale.

Offers at a guide price of £1,000,000 are being sought for the fishings.
