Sotheby’s International Realty opens a new office in the UK

The company said that it is an exciting development for the prime property market in the Midlands as Sotheby’s International Realty believes that it has one of the most expansive networks of any residential real estate company in the world, with over 11,000 agents working in more than 550 offices in 45 countries and territories worldwide.

The Stratford upon Avon office will cover a wide ranging geographical area stretching from Royal Leamington Spa to The Cotswolds from east to west, and Birmingham to Oxfordshire from north to south.

The team is headed up by Stephen Parry, who has over 16 years of estate agency experience and joins Sotheby’s International Realty from Knight Frank. He is chairman of the National Association of Estate Agents Coventry and Warwickshire branch and his main focus will be on the areas of Stratford upon Avon, Warwick and Leamington Spa.

‘Our team represents the cream of the crop in terms of local prime property experts. Both experienced and energetic, we will be using our unrivalled knowledge of the area to present a diverse range of real estate from across the region from quintessentially rural cottages in the Cotswolds through to high specification penthouses in Birmingham city centre,’ said Parry.

‘All of our properties will be showcased to Sotheby’s International Realty’s extensive global database of clients, as well as our incredibly strong network of regional contacts,’ he added.

Parry is joined by Cotswolds expert Paul Houghton-Brown, formerly associate director of Jackson-Stops & Staff in Chipping Campden, and Lisa Hunt, formerly of Savills, who will be looking after the Birmingham and Solihull markets.

The Stratford upon Avon office opening is part of a major expansion being undertaken by the company over the next 12 months. The expansion, lead by Charles Smith, managing director of Sotheby’s International Realty in the UK, coincides with an increasing international desire for prime luxury property in the UK and the growing appetite for high quality, bespoke customer service.

‘The Sotheby’s International Realty brand is recognised throughout the world and is synonymous with impeccable quality and specialist expertise. Our UK expansion is a powerful statement of our ambition and a strong sign of our commitment to the prime property marketing in the UK,’ said Smith.

‘We intend to capitalise on these opportunities and have nationwide growth in our sights. Our business is founded on the principles of the very best service while holding true to the values people would expect from the Sotheby’s brand,’ he added.
