London garage for sale at over half a million pounds

The asking price for the double garage, which is freehold, is three times the national average house price of £160,000.

It is located close to Harrods on Rysbrack Street and 6.4 meters wide by 4.75 meters deep. The price is high because it is so rare to find a garage in this part of London and they are much sought after, according to agents W A Ellis.

‘It is very rare to get a freehold garage in Knightsbridge, so it is exceptionally valuable. We anticipate interest from those already living within a two three minute walk of the garage, for example the large houses on Walton Place, where there is no off street parking,’ said Robert Lewis, associate at W A Ellis.

The garage was put up for sale a week after a flat roofed brick shed, in Highgate village, north London, went on the market for £259,950.

Knightsbridge is located in London's Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea where average property prices have risen from £827,238 to £983,842 in the past four and a half years.
