At the start of the year, an article was published with speculation regarding some of the property hotspots for 2008. Now, with one month having passed and a much clearer outlook available on the situation, most of the choices have remained as being good choices.
Dubai, Brazil and Egypt are still the three most desirable places to purchase property overall and are expected to all have great 2008 years in performance, according to Homesgofast.com in a recent press release.
Indeed, they are not alone in thinking that as while the Dubai property market does look to have some problems long term, the outlook for the rest of the year is quite rosy. Brazil and Egypt are both in stages of heavy expansion and gain in their property markets, meaning that it should be relatively safe as an investment for the rest of 2008.
Other analysts have looked at Romania and the Southern Alps regions as being potential property hotspots in 2008 and in fact there are some that even argue in favour of the United States for 2008 property investment. While this might seem a bit odd at first, there are a number of different reasons as to why this might be a good investment.
The two main reasons for property investment in the US are the failing currency and the lowering of prices in the property market. This has allowed people in many countries to purchase dream homes for much cheaper than they ever thought possible and therefore there is a bit of a demand echo going on in some of the most metropolitan cities in the United States.
States like New York, California and Florida have seen this demand echo in a big way and it is part of what has helped them keep large parts of their property markets afloat.
