Ultra luxury hotels – Next big thing in Middle East

Ultra-luxury hotels have become the next big thing in the property markets on the Middle East as many countries turn to property developers in order to help them host high-end travel to the countries. Such travel to the region increased by 18 per cent over the last two years, and it is expected to climb by at least another five per cent over the 12 months of 2008, according to a study publicised in a Forbes.com article.

The difference between the Middle East and many other areas that have followed a similar route is that the Gulf region has a history of these types of hotels dating back to the luxury palaces that were created centuries ago for the Kings and other high class members of the Gulf nobility.

It is that same flair that is being brought to the construction of hotels in the Gulf coast now. The price for booking a room at one of these ultra-luxury hotels is going to be very reasonable when compared to similar hotels around the other areas of the world.

The interest in ultra-luxury hotels is not just domestic, but is also international amongst financiers and people that expect to stay in these hotels when they visit the Middle East.

A good example of the former is the American Express Company, which has long had a reputation for financially backing some of the most luxurious hotels ever built, through its relationship with The Leading Hotels of the World, Limited. Both companies are busily expanding their services into the Middle East and very soon people travelling to the ultra-luxury hotels of that region are going to be able to earn rewards through American Express for doing so.

All in all, it appears as if a building spree of ultra-luxury hotels in the Middle East is looming some time in the near future.
