Peabody to show people around London development online

Developer Peabody is launching Stonelea Gardens online on Tuesday 21 April, a development located in Leyton in East London.

Properties will be available to buy with shared ownership, while potential buyers can choose a suitable time and day to take an interactive virtual tour of the apartments.

Andrew Peglau, assistant director of marketing at Peabody, said: “We are very keen to do what we can to help support those buyers who want to continue their homeownership journey.

“During this difficult lockdown period, it will inevitably have an effect on certain living situations, especially for first time buyers still living with parents or sharing with friends who aspire to own their own space to retreat to.

“By offering the opportunity to interactively walk through our new Shared Ownership homes at Stonelea Gardens, it means buyers won’t miss out on any opportunity to be one of the first to reserve a home at this stunning development.”

Once home to the Leyton workhouse which opened in 1842, the site joined the NHS to become Langthorne Hospital in 1948.

Grade II listed buildings still remain on the site, while Stonelea Gardens comprises of a contemporary collection of one, two and three bedroom apartments.

The development overlooks the green open space of Langthorne Park.

The shared ownership apartments are centred around a new village green and courtyard gardens.
