Propertymark opens voting for board leadership positions

Propertymark has opened voting for key leadership positions, with members able to cast their votes until 18th June. The elections come as agents face increased regulatory and legislative pressure across the property sector.

Voting opened on 21st May for board and vice-presidential roles within the industry body, which maintains a member-led structure with working practitioners forming the majority of its board.

Lettings division candidates

Two candidates are standing for the lettings division position. Michelle Masiglat-Cook FARLA, Lettings Director at Stirling Ackroyd, is competing against Hope McKendrick MARLA, Director at Intus Lettings, who has experience in property and short-term rental management through Staycay Management.

The successful candidate will progress through Propertymark’s presidential structure, eventually becoming President Elect before serving as President and acting as an ambassador for the organisation.

Sales division positions

Michael Sears NAVA, MARLA, MNAEA (Comm), FNAEA, Managing Director at Sealys Walker Jarvis, is standing for the role of NAEA Propertymark Board Director. Craig Webster MNAEA, MNAVA, MARLA, Managing Director and founder of Blackpool-based Tiger Estates, is standing for Vice-President of the sales division.

Vice-Presidents work with advisory panels and regional executives across the UK to represent members’ views and influence policy direction.

Voting process

Eligible members will receive secure voting emails from Mi-Voice. The voting deadline is 11am on Thursday, 18th June, with results scheduled to be announced at Propertymark’s Annual General Meeting on 19th June.

According to Propertymark, member participation helps influence how the profession is represented and shapes the professional body’s future priorities. The elections take place against a backdrop of increased regulatory scrutiny in the property sector, with agents and landlords facing significant compliance requirements.
