Spicerhaart expands part exchange team with promotions

Spicerhaart Part Exchange & Group Clients has promoted two senior staff members and announced plans to recruit additional personnel at its Sheffield office as developer demand for part exchange services increases.

Lindsay Storey has been appointed business development director, assuming responsibility for relationships with major housing developers and oversight of the firm’s business development function. Storey has spent more than 20 years with Spicerhaart and nearly three decades in the property sector, having started her career with Haybrook before its acquisition by Spicerhaart.

Lucy Jennings has been promoted to operations manager, where she will oversee frontline operations and work with sales and business development teams. Jennings joined the business seven years ago as a sales consultant and has progressed through roles including senior sales consultant, sales manager and assistant operations manager.

Recruitment drive underway

The expansion comes as the company reports increased demand from developers for managed part exchange and assisted move services. Neil Knight, divisional director of Spicerhaart Part Exchange & Group Clients, said developers are recognising that such services can reduce friction and accelerate completion timelines.

The firm is recruiting for several positions at its Sheffield office, including admin support assistants, sales consultants and an assistant operations manager. The move reflects wider challenges in recruiting talent across the property sector.

Fine & Country expands North Yorkshire presence

Separately, Fine & Country Durham & North Yorkshire has appointed Lizzie Tate as an associate to strengthen its presence in the region’s premium property market. Tate brings more than a decade of sector experience and will focus on prime residential and rural properties across North Yorkshire.

The agency reports continued demand for higher-end properties in rural locations and market towns across the county. Tate began her career in estate agency at 19 whilst studying real estate at Northumbria University and achieved chartered surveyor status in December 2023.

James Carver, director at Fine & Country Durham & North Yorkshire, said Tate’s local knowledge and experience would support the agency’s growth across the region.

Both appointments reflect continued activity in the UK property sector, with firms investing in personnel to meet demand across different market segments.
