Terraced houses have been the strongest property type for house price growth in the past 20 years, Ocean Finance research shows
Since 2000 terraced prices have jumped by 96% from £189,394 to £321,519.
The second biggest change in value took place to semi-detached houses, with a price increase of 84% to £203,392.
Detached homes and flats/maisonettes saw an increase of 70% and 69% respectively.
In terms of property hotspots by location, Manchester is number one, where prices have risen by 143% in over 20 years to £179,537.
Surprisingly, the City of London didn’t make it to the top three, those price increases came from a far higher base. Prices jumped from £364,366 in 2000 to £786,760 in 2020, a 116% rise.
