Propertymark has integrated free basic material information reports into its referral platform through a partnership with property data provider Propalt.
The integration allows Propertymark members using the Propertymark Connect platform to access complimentary property intelligence reports when sending referrals through the network. The reports combine property data with local market insights, designed to assist agents during valuations and client consultations.
Platform functionality
Propertymark Connect operates as a referral and lead generation platform enabling agents to send and receive business opportunities through a network of qualified professionals. The system is designed to retain business when clients move outside an agent’s operating area by facilitating referrals to other Propertymark members.
Agents who send a referral through the platform can now access a basic Propalt material information report at no cost. The reports include property characteristics, construction details, historical information, Energy Performance Certificate data, planning information and risk-related data.
According to Propalt, its platform consolidates over one million property data points from multiple sources. The company states this reduces time spent searching across different databases.
Market context
The partnership comes as estate agents face increased pressure to demonstrate expertise in a competitive market. With buyer registrations showing recent fluctuations, agents are seeking tools to differentiate their services beyond standard valuation figures.
The integration also addresses material information requirements, which have become increasingly important in property transactions. Agents can use the reports to provide vendors with broader property and market context during instruction pitches.
Kieran Slinger, Co-founder of Propalt, said: “We built Propalt because the property industry has access to huge amounts of valuable data, but too often the information an agent needs is spread across different systems or takes too long to find.”
Jason Lee, Head of Commercial at Propertymark, noted that thousands of agents have registered on the platform since its launch, with consumers generating opportunities for members.
Industry implications
The move reflects broader trends in property technology adoption across the sector. Similar to recent developments such as investment in digital lettings platforms, the integration demonstrates how trade bodies are incorporating data services into existing networks.
For agents, the free reports represent a cost-saving measure while potentially improving service delivery. The reports are positioned as tools for informed client conversations rather than replacements for professional valuation expertise.
The partnership between Propertymark and Propalt is available to all Propertymark members using the Connect platform, with the basic material information reports provided at no additional charge for referrals sent through the system.
