Independent estate agency Pymm and Co has relocated its Norwich headquarters to larger premises following the acquisition of a rival lettings firm.
The agency has moved from Ber Street to 46 Rose Lane, less than half a mile away, after 20 years at its former office. The relocation follows the acquisition of Starkings & Watson Lettings and consolidates the firm’s specialist teams under one roof.
Two decades of expansion
Pymm and Co was founded in 2006 by managing director Steve Pymm, who has worked in the property sector since 1996. According to Pymm, the business had outgrown its long-standing Ber Street office after two decades of expansion.
“We were at Ber Street for 20 years and, with the business outgrowing it, we needed to move,” Pymm said. “Our new office means we’re now all under one roof with space to continue our growth.”
The agency expanded into financial services through sister company Broadland Consultants in 2007 and launched a dedicated lettings division the following year. Much of its subsequent growth has come through acquisitions of lettings portfolios, including Homeworks Lettings, MPJ Property Management, Reality Lettings, Barton and Co, Moving In, Dunn and Co, and Spencer Ward Lettings.
Regional expansion
Pymm and Co expanded beyond Norwich in 2025 when it opened a second office in Sheringham. The agency later increased the size of its north Norfolk operation by acquiring the neighbouring building.
The move comes as estate agency job vacancies across England continue to fluctuate amid changing market conditions. The consolidation of operations reflects a broader trend of regional agencies seeking operational efficiencies through acquisitions and larger premises to accommodate expanded teams.
The relocation marks a significant milestone for the Norwich-based firm as it continues its expansion strategy across the East Anglia region.
