Estate agency Winkworth has appointed Lawrence Brown as Director of its Pimlico office, the firm announced this week. Brown brings over 20 years of experience in the UK property sector to the role.
The appointment sees Brown return to an area where he previously lived for more than five years and worked for a decade. He will oversee operations at the Pimlico branch, covering the wider Westminster market.
Career background
Brown started his career in lettings before joining Chestertons, where he progressed to Area Director with responsibility for 11 Prime Central London offices, including Pimlico. Following a period working overseas, he returned to the UK property industry in senior positions at agencies in Devon, Cambridge and Essex.
His experience covers prime city apartments, waterfront developments, country houses and rural estates across multiple regional markets.
“Pimlico has always held a special place in my heart, and it is wonderful to be returning to the area to lead such a well-established local office and an experienced team,” Brown said. “For me, great estate agency is about far more than property alone. It’s about people, relationships and earning trust through honest advice and delivering on your promises.”
Market performance
According to Winkworth’s Autumn 2026 Prime Central London Market Update, the Pimlico and Westminster lettings market has maintained strong performance, with several properties achieving record rental values. The appointment comes as agencies across London continue to adjust their office networks in response to market conditions.
Dominic Agace, Chief Executive of Winkworth, said: “Lawrence is exactly the kind of experienced and respected leader who will make a real difference for clients across Pimlico and Westminster. His extensive knowledge of the prime property market, combined with his commitment to customer service, makes him ideally placed to lead the team.”
Agace added that the appointment reflects Winkworth’s strategy of developing operators and attracting experienced professionals across its network. The move forms part of the company’s ongoing focus on maintaining its presence in central London’s prime residential markets.
