"We have acquired the existing Belvoir Chorlton office and renamed it Belvoir Chorlton and Didsbury," explains Harry, who first joined Belvoir in 2004.
Harry invited Coronation Street star Michelle Keegan to swap the dangers of the Salford cobbles for the safe pavements of Chorlton and get his new venture off to a flying start. Michelle, who plays feisty Rover's Return barmaid Tina McIntyre, released 300 balloons into the Manchester skies. A cash prize will go to the person who finds the balloon that has travelled the greatest distance, and one balloon has already been returned from Denmark, making it a strong contender.
November was a very successful month for Harry, his office manager Tom Simper and the rest of the team, as Belvoir Manchester Central recorded the group's third largest sales turnover and won a Belvoir Rankings Award at the company's annual awards 2010.
On presenting Harry with his award, MD Dorian Gonsalves, said: "Harry runs a powerhouse of an office in Manchester city centre. We are thrilled that his efforts have resulted in him coming so high up in the Belvoir ranking figures and wish him and his team continued success in the on-going development of his business."
A delighted Harry said: "Business in Manchester is booming and we are constantly on the look out for more landlords and properties. I am looking to achieving further business growth and Chorlton is a fantastic area to be operating in. This area and the surrounding district is a prime lettings market and remains buoyant despite current economic trends. Property rental values in this area are high and there is a good calibre of tenant with many professionals and young families looking for quality rental property."
Harry's plans for the future include further expansion. "We have ambitions to take our Belvoir portfolio beyond two offices, but that will happen as opportunities arise," he says. "For now we're going to concentrate on how we can stand above the competition and really develop the Belvoir brand around the Manchester suburbs."
